Two Desperate criminal and Arms Supplier to Hashim Baba Gang arrested

Three semi-automatic Pistol and Six live cartridges recovered

In a significant breakthrough, the Crime Branch, Northern Range-I, has successfully apprehended Md. Rihan, a key supplier of illegal firearms to the notorious Hashim Baba Gang from the area of PS Begumpur while he was going to supply a consignment of two semi-automatic sophisticated Pistols along with 4 live bullets to an active member of Hashim Baba Gang in Sector-24, Rohini. Later on, on the instance of accused Md. Rihan, his associate Salman Ahmad, who used to supply illegal weapons to him, has also been arrested. One semi-automatic sophisticated Pistol & 2 live bullets were also recovered from his possession.

INFORMATION & OPERATION: -

On April 22, 2025, the Crime Branch, Northern Range-I, demonstrated its commitment to public safety by successfully apprehending Md. Rihan, a notorious arms supplier to the Hashim Baba Gang.

The NR-1, Crime Branch team has been entrusted with the critical task of apprehending individuals involved in the illicit supply of firearms in Delhi/NCR. As part of this effort, the team has identified Md. Rihan, a notorious supplier of illegal firearms to the Hashim Baba Gang. Thereupon, a team led by Insp. Pukhraj Singh comprising SI Sanjay Rana, SI Niranjan Singh, W/SI Khushboo, ASI Pawan, HC Sachin, HC Pawan, HC Mukesh, HC Narender, Ct Manoj and HC Parveen under the overall supervision of Sh. Narender Singh ACP/NR-I Crime Branch, was constituted by Harsh Indora, IPS, DCP/Crime-III to nab the accused person.

During this, on 22.4.2025, a secret information was received by HC Pawan Kumar of NR-I, Crime Branch, Delhi, regarding supply of illegal firearm by Md. Rihan s/o Md. Nazim r/o Jafrabad, Delhi to an active member of Hashim Baba Gang in the area of PS-BegumPur, Sector-24, Rohini Delhi, that he would come to near Premadhar Ayurvedik Hospital, Deep Vihar, Sec-24, Rohini, Delhi. Accordingly, at the instance of the informer, a team led by Insp. Pukhraj Singh laid a good trap and apprehended the accused Md. Rihan s/o Md. Nazim from near Premadhar Ayurvedik Hospital, Deep Vihar, Sec-24, Rohini, Delhi. During his search, two semi-automatic sophisticated Pistols and 4 live bullets have been recovered from his possession.

On sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he used to buy these pistols from one Salman in Jafrabad and further sell to the members of Hashim Baba Gang and other persons in Delhi NCR. On 22/04/25, he came to supply Two Pistols and 4 Live Cartridges at near Premadhar Ayurvedik Hospital, Deep Vihar, Sec-24, Rohini and was caught. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.97/2025, dated 22/04/2025, U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi, has been registered, and further investigation is in progress.

During further investigation, on the instance of the accused Md. Rihan, his associate Salman Ahmad s/o Abdul Wahid r/o Jafrabad, Delhi, who supplied illegal weapon to Md. Rihan, was also arrested and during further investigation, a semi-automatic Pistol and two live cartridges have also been recovered on his instance.

RECOVERY: -

1. Two semi-automatic Pistol and 4 live bullets from Md. Rihan and 1 Pistol and 2 live bullets from the possession of Salman Ahmad. Total 3 Pistols and 6 Lice bullets have been recovered from the both accused.

2. One Motor Cycle used in commission of crime by the accused Md. Rihan.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS: -

MD. RIHAN: -

The accused Md. Rihan basically belongs to Distt. Sambhal UP. But presently living in Jafrabad Delhi. He studied up-to 12th class from Sambhal, UP. Since the beginning, he started a job in a private hospital but after coming in contact with Salman, he left his job and started supplying of illegal weapons to the members of Hashim Baba Gang in Delhi NCR.

SALMAN AHMAD: -

Accused Salman Ahmad s/o Abdul Wahid is a resident of Jafrabad, Delhi. He studied up-to 8th class. He had a business of Hand Craft items but 2 years ago he suffered a huge loss in business and then he came into the contact of his cousin Nadeem and started the business of supply of illegal firearms in Delhi NCR.
