The problems of all the industrial areas of the district will be resolved promptly by the district administration. Also, under the industrial policy of the state government, entrepreneurs will be provided all possible support for conducting industrial activities. This was said by Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan in the meeting of the District Level Small Industries Promotion Board held in the NIC meeting room at the Collectorate on Saturday.

In the meeting, Collector Mrs. Chauhan told the representatives of the industrial areas that a calendar should be prepared by listing the problems and demands of each industrial area, which should include major problems like road, electricity, water, encroachment, cleanliness. He said that a review meeting will be held every week for quick resolution of the problems.

The Collector assured the industrial representatives that strict action will be taken against those who create obstacles in industrial activities and entrepreneurs will be given full opportunity to operate uninterruptedly. She directed the General Manager of the District Industries Center to complete the process of getting the industrial areas of the district notified at the government level soon so that they can also get the benefit of the industrial policy of the government.

In the meeting, the representatives of industrial organizations appreciated the facilities being provided by the government for industrial units. The representatives said that the government is providing more funds than expected and the grant is also being received on time.

On this occasion, Chamber of Commerce President Dr. Praveen Agarwal, Laghu Udyog Bharati President Sobaran Singh Tomar, representatives of Maharajpura, Baraghatta, Birlanagar, Shankarpur, Girwai, Chirwai and other industrial areas including Garment and Stone Park and District Industries Center General Manager K S Solanki and other officials were present.

Special attention on fire safety

Collector Mrs. Chauhan directed all the representatives of industrial areas to ensure strong arrangements for fire safety. She said that fire safety equipment should be available in sufficient numbers in all industrial units, they should be checked regularly and mock drills should also be conducted from time to time. He informed that a fire safety fair will soon be organised in Gwalior with the objective of providing cheap and modern fire safety equipment.
