Hindu Mahasabha pays tribute to Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt on the 96th anniversary of the bomb blast in Parliament - BN Tiwari

Mahesh Dhoundiyal - New Delhi

Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha pays tribute to the immortal martyrs Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt who ignited the spirit of Navkranti and Inquilab Zindabad in the Indian freedom struggle by exploding a bomb in the Parliament House in New Delhi 96 years ago during the era of British imperialism and took a pledge to build the India of Bhagat Singh's dreams.

National President of Hindu Mahasabha Ravindra Kumar Dwivedi, while paying tribute to both the immortal martyrs, said that 96 years ago, to send the message of India's independence to the ears of the dumb external government of the British Empire, Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt, on 8 April 1929, from the visitors' gallery of the Parliament, threw pamphlets related to India's independence by exploding a bomb in the House. The aim of both was not to kill anyone but to force the British Empire to grant India independence. Considering his effort as a crime, British law prosecuted Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt along with Ashfaqulla Khan and hanged them.

National President of Hindu Mahasabha Ravindra Kumar Dwivedi said that Bhagat Singh's sacrifice gave rise to a new consciousness in the freedom struggle. The entire nation, especially the youth, inspired by Bhagat Singh's sacrifice, started an open rebellion against the British Empire. Frightened by this rebellion, the British Empire declared India independent on 15 August 1947 with the pain of partition of the country.

National Spokesperson of Hindu Mahasabha BN Tiwari, while giving this information in a statement issued today, said that Bhagat Singh's sacrifice has made an unforgettable and incomparable contribution in the Indian freedom struggle. He said that in the attempt to glorify the Gandhi Nehru family in Indian history writing, Bhagat Singh could not get a proper place. The biggest misfortune is that even after 77 years of India's independence, Bhagat Singh's name is recorded as a terrorist in the State Gazette instead of a martyr. He has demanded from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to table a bill to remove the word extremist from Bhagat Singh's name in the State Gazette and replace it with a great martyr and to honour Bhagat Singh with Bharat Ratna. He said that Hindu Mahasabha will submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister in support of its demand.
