New Delhi, 6th April : The 46th Foundation Day of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), established in 1980, was celebrated today with great enthusiasm at the Delhi BJP office.

After the BJP government came to power in Delhi following a long struggle of 27 years, Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva and Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta hoisted the flag and subsequently lit the ceremonial lamp on the stage.

The event was addressed by Shri Virendra Sachdeva and Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, who congratulated the workers on the Foundation Day and felicitated all 38 employees working at the State office for their dedication during the election campaign.

The ceremony was attended by State General Secretary Shri Pawan Sharma, Union Minister of State Shri Harsh Malhotra, MP Shri Manoj Tiwari, Shri Ramveer Singh Bidhuri, Shri Yogendra Chandolia, Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, State Secretary Shri Vishnu Mittal, Assembly Deputy Speaker Shri Mohan Singh Bisht, and Chief Whip Shri Abhay Verma, along with Scheduled Caste Morcha President Shri Mohanlal Gihara and others.

The Foundation Day event, organized by Office Secretary Shri Brijesh Rai and Co-Office Secretary Shri Amit Gupta, was hosted by State Ministers Smt. Sarika Jain and Shri Naresh Vashisht. 

The event was also attended by State Vice Presidents Shri Gajendra Yadav, Shri Dinesh Pratap Singh, Shri Rajkumar Bhatia, Smt. Yogita Singh, Shri Vinay Rawat, State Minister Shri Harish Khurana, Treasurer Shri Satish Garg, Media Head Shri Praveen Shankar Kapoor, Spokespersons Shri Yasir Zilani and Shri Ajay Sahrawat, Media Relations Head Shri Vikram Mittal, along with several MLAs, councilors, and hundreds of party workers.

Foundation Day celebrations were also held across all 14 districts of Delhi, with a large number of district and mandal office-bearers, workers, and public representatives participating.

On Foundation Day, various district programs were addressed by different leaders: National Minister Dr. Alka Gurjar for West Delhi, Delhi President Shri Virendra Sachdeva for Shahdara District, Organization General Secretary Shri Pawan Rana for New Shahdara, Union Minister Shri Harsh Malhotra for Mayur Vihar, MP Shri Manoj Tiwari for Northeast Delhi, MP Shri Ramveer Singh Bidhuri for South Delhi, MP Shri Yogendra Chandolia for Northwest Delhi, MP Smt. Kamaljeet Sahrawat for Najafgarh, MP Ms. Bansuri Swaraj for Karol Bagh, MP Shri Praveen Khandelwal for Chandni Chowk, State General Secretary Shri Vishnu Mittal for Keshavpuram, State Vice President Shri Dinesh Pratap Singh for New Delhi, State Secretary Smt. Sarika Jain for Mahrauli, and Senior Leader Shri Naresh Vashisht for Outer Delhi.

Shri Virendra Sachdeva said, “Our journey began in 1980, and it is the result of the hard work, dedication, and determination of millions of workers that today the BJP is the largest political party in the world. We are fortunate to be working in a party that has given the charismatic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the patient leadership of National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda.”

He further stated that today, there are NDA governments in 21 states, and Delhi is the 13th state where the BJP formed a government with a full majority. The party is progressing continuously, and it is our duty to make the lotus bloom in every city of India.

Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta said, “BJP workers are engaged in the nation’s work. The hard work of BJP workers before the Delhi Assembly elections resulted in the formation of the BJP government in Delhi after 27 years. We always put the nation first, the party second, and ourselves last. We are working for the progress of the country, and the government will work for the welfare of every section of society, implementing the party’s principles.”

She added, “We are working for social upliftment and the prosperity of Delhi. The guidance given by our mentors to work for society is what motivates us today. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and BJP President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, we are working relentlessly. We will continue our efforts to make India a global leader and transform Delhi into a developed city.”
