Seraphia- Hansraj College’s First Mental Health Event successfully organised in campus.

Not all exhaustion comes from lack of sleep. Sometimes, it’s the overthinking, the pressure to meet expectations or the feeling of always falling behind. You keep pushing through—but wouldn’t it be nice to pause, breathe and feel okay without trying so hard?  That’s what Seraphia was all about. Hansraj College’s first-ever mental health festival, organised by the Counselling Unit, gave students a chance to unwind, connect, and talk about mental health without hesitation. It wasn’t just another college event—it was a space to laugh louder, feel lighter, and simply be.
Addressing the gathering Vice Principal Prof. Vijay Rani Rajpal told that it is truly heartening to see students taking initiatives like ‘Seraphia’, which highlight the growing awareness around mental health and the importance of a healthy lifestyle—especially among the youth. Lead by our in-house Psychologists, Rachel Alice and Mehar Pruthi, the students of Hansraj College exemplify a deep sense of responsibility toward their well-being and the well-being of their peers. Their enthusiasm and commitment are a testament to the positive change young minds can bring to our society.

With the warm support of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rama, Vice Principal Vijay Rani Rajpal, IQAC Director Alka Kacker, teaching and non-teaching staff, Seraphia came to life as a meaningful and purposeful celebration. Mental health experts Rachel Alice and Mehar Pruthi led conversations that were simple, relatable, and real—no jargon, just heartfelt discussions. Tushar Saini, President of the Counselling Unit, spearheaded the vision, making sure the event truly resonated with students. Fun stalls by college societies brought energy and excitement, while a jamming session by Kabeer Ali and Anubhav Silas offered a musical pause. Collaborators like Prophetti, PauseU, The Seasons Therapy, Socially Souled, SETU and the Rekhi Foundation enriched the experience, reminding everyone: ‘you are not alone’. A passionate student team—Geetanjali, Vaibhav, Nikunj, Hritik, Jiggyasa, Aena, Neelaxi, Manya, Navya, Shreshth, Deepali, Bharat, Diksha, Dolly, Harshita, Ashutosh, Shriya, and Sakshi—worked behind the scenes to make it all happen. By the end of the day, students left not just with memories—but with hope and a sense of belonging.
