Datia, 4 April 2025: The first convocation was held with great enthusiasm in Government Medical College Datia. On this historic occasion, more than 130 MBBS students of 2018 and 2019 batch were awarded their degrees. Parents of the students were also invited to the ceremony, who were feeling proud of the achievements of their children. The said program was organized by Dr. Pradeep Shukla, Head of Convocation Committee and team under the guidance of Dean and CEO, Government Medical College Datia, Dr. Deepak Singh Marawi! The ceremony started at 6 pm, in which Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Vice Chancellor of Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi was present as the chief guest. Dr. D. Paramhans, Dean of SRVS Medical College, Shivpuri and Dr. V. P. Singh, Dean of Veterinary College, Datia also participated as special guests. The task of stage management was handled well by Dr. Nidhi Agarwal and Dr. Abhishek Mehta, which added to the glory of the program.

The program started with the welcome of the guests and lighting of lamps with Saraswati Vandana, which filled the atmosphere with knowledge and celebration. Welcome, invitation and banquet arrangements were made by Dr. Rajesh Gupta and Dr. Vivek Verma! Dr. Deepak Singh Marawi, in his welcome speech, praised the hard work of the students and the contribution of the college. After this, degrees were given to the students of the 2018 batch, in which the auditorium echoed with the applause of parents and audience. Dr. D. Paramhans spoke about service and dedication in the medical field in his address. Then the convocation of the students of the 2019 batch took place, in which moments of excitement and pride were seen. More than 130 students of both batches received their degrees in this ceremony, and happiness and pride were clearly visible in the eyes of their parents. Chief Guest Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh encouraged the students in his motivational speech and called upon the students to innovate for the society. His experience of more than 35 years of research and education impressed everyone.

Dr. Prashant Harit played an important role in coordination in the ceremony, due to which all the arrangements went smoothly. In the end, souvenirs were distributed, in which guests and organizers were honored. After the vote of thanks, the program concluded with the national anthem.
