Strengthening Public Healthcare: VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital Hosts CSR Initiative in Partnership with Rotary Club of Delhi South East and Macawber Beekay Pvt. Ltd.

In a meaningful effort to enhance public healthcare delivery, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital hosted a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event on April 16, 2025, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Delhi South East and Macawber Beekay Pvt. Ltd.

As part of this initiative, the hospital received vital medical equipment—including a Neonatal Ventilator, Fetoscope, and 2 Color Doppler Ultrasound Machines—through CSR contributions by the partnering organizations. These critical tools will further bolster the hospital’s services, helping provide timely and life-saving interventions to thousands of patients who seek care here, many of whom come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Such CSR partnerships are instrumental in bridging healthcare gaps in public institutions. By equipping government hospitals with advanced medical technology, corporate collaborators not only fulfill their social responsibility but also contribute directly to the well-being of underserved communities. This initiative will strengthen diagnostic accuracy, ensure better patient monitoring, and improve public healthcare.

Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, President of the Rotary Club of Delhi South East, remarked:

The event was graced by Mr. Mahesh Trikha, District Governor of Rotary Club of Delhi South East, who emphasized the Club's commitment to impactful service.

Dr. Sandeep Bansal, Medical Superintendent, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, expressed his gratitude:
 “We are sincerely grateful for this generous support. These advanced tools will substantially improve our ability to provide timely and effective care to mothers and newborns. The event was attended by senior hospital officials, Additional Medical Superintendents­­- Dr. Charu Bamba, Dr. R.P. Arora, and Dr. Krishan Kumar and members of the hospital's CSR committee. Also present were the Heads of Department of Surgery, Haematology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatrics, along with their respective teams, who appreciated the initiative and acknowledged the practical significance of the contributed equipment.
