In protest against the vandalisation of the statue of Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap situated in Kudeshiya Vatika (Maharana Pratap Park) near ISBT,

Bus Station, by some anti-social elements, Rajputana Samaj Janhit, Kshatriya Shakti Sangathan and Sarv Rajput Samaj collectively took out a march today against the vandalisation of the statue and decided that this protest will continue till the statue of Maharana Pratap is re-installed. On this occasion, Rajput Sarv Samaj under the leadership of Manish Rana also submitted a memorandum to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner of Delhi. In which it was said that the vandalised statue of Maharana Pratap should be removed and a new statue should be made and it should be reinstalled at the same place. Also, at least two guards should be kept regularly to monitor the statue and the park so that no such unpleasant incident occurs in future. Also, it was decided that the new statue should be unveiled soon and CCTV cameras should be installed for its monitoring.

Apart from this, it was also demanded from the Municipal Corporation Commissioner that the government should take these steps for the maintenance of the monuments of great men such as: Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) should make rules for the protection and maintenance of monuments, security arrangements should be made by the government for the protection of the statue, regular cleaning, repair and painting should be done for the maintenance of the statue, permission and cooperation should be given to celebrate the annual birth anniversary of the great man whose statue is there at the same place, light should be focused on the statue at night, which will enhance the beauty of that place at night, there should be a provision of punishment for the person who breaks the statue.

Rajput Sarva Samaj condemned in strong words that if the government does not accept our demands immediately, then this protest will be intensified with more public force. About 5000 people participated in this protest.
