Odisha Arts and Cultural Centre, Thyagraj Nagar, New Delhi today, July 5, 2025 ( Saturday) at 5.00PM.

The event marks the return journey of the Deities from the Gundicha Temple to the Rath, following their week-long stay at their aunt's residence. This year, the Pahandi Bije (procession of deities from the temple to the chariots) was conducted in a Goti Pahandi (one-after-another) format. The deities were escorted individually with traditional rituals, accompanied by sounds of ghantas, Mridangas, conch shells, and chanting of hymns. The celebration began at 5 PM as per schedule and was completed smoothly under the supervision of the temple administration and servitors. The pulling of the chariots commenced shortly thereafter on RWA premises.

In view of recent incidents during the Rath Yatra, elaborate arrangements were made to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees.

The event was conducted with full cooperation from servitors, administration, volunteers, and local residents of RWA Colony. A special arrangement was made for preparation and distribution of Anna prasad, serving more than 5,000 devotees.

A grand cultural program was organized at the premises with traditional Odissi dance, bhajan sandhya, and Jagannath-centric played by renowned artists and cultural troupes from across Delhi, NCR

The event celebrated Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and offered devotees a divine and artistic conclusion to the day’s festivities.

The bahuda Yatra procession was completed under direct supervision of K.D. Biswal – General Secretary, D.N. Sahoo – Vice President, Pradyumna Palai – Joint Secretary , Yash Aggarwal – Joint Secretary and other office bearers who associated were Pranati Biswal, Pradeep Pradhan, Mahendra Barik, Gyan Ranjan Nayak, Bijayanand Samal, Abhay Palai, Ramakant Swain, Sambhunath Aggarwal.
