Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva has stated that Arvind Kejriwal misled women in both Delhi and Punjab by showing them the dream of Mahila Samman Bhatta. In 2022, after forming the government in Punjab and gaining control of the Municipal Corporation in Delhi, Kejriwal left women in both states asking the same question — “Why did Kejriwal betray us?”

Shri Virendra Sachdeva pointed out that Kejriwal had sold false promises of women’s allowance before the 2022 Municipal Corporation elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

During the presentation of the 2024-25 budget, Kejriwal’s then Finance Minister Atishi Marlena announced an allowance of ?1,000 per woman in the budget. However, not even a single rupee was given to them, leading to the massive defeat in the recently concluded 2025 Assembly elections.

Similarly, in 2021-22, Kejriwal lured Punjab’s women with the promise of an allowance to gain power. Today, the deceived women of Punjab are completely disillusioned, making it Kejriwal’s biggest political crisis.

Kejriwal is well aware that the Delhi BJP government will ensure proper provisions in the 2025-26 budget to implement the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. Once this happens, it will become impossible for him to mislead the women of Punjab any further.
