Successful event on International Women's Day with the theme 'Power of Her'

A grand celebration of International Women's Day was organized at Prestige Management and Research Institute, Gwalior. The theme of this year's event was 'Power of Her', which was specially designed keeping in mind women empowerment. The aim of this program was to inspire women for self-reliance and leadership.

The program started from March 1 and concluded with the closing ceremony on March 8. Many important activities were organized during this period, in addition, the students of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Gwalior organized women empowerment activities in slums.

On the first day, awareness was spread on harassment and good-bad touch in Narayan Vihar.

On the second day, the focus was on basic hygiene at Gole Ka Mandir

 

On the third day, gender equality was discussed at DD Nagar Gate No. 1.

On the fourth day, self-defense skills were taught at Gole Ka Mandir.

On the fifth day, reel and documentary competition was organized.

On the sixth day, poster making competition was organized.

Students actively participated in raising awareness on important issues of the community. This initiative was aimed at empowering women and girls.

Meera Shrivastava (Administrative Officer, P.G. College of Nursing) was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. She shared her inspirational life story of overcoming cancer and advised women to maintain positive thinking and determination in every situation.

Besides this, other prominent guests included Muskan Sharma (ORI Studio) and Jai Prakash Gupta (Times Institute, Gwalior). They shared their views on various aspects of women empowerment and leadership.

Dr., Director of the Institute Nishant Joshi said in his message on this occasion, "Women are the foundation of the society and only their empowerment can lead to the progress of the society and the nation. We should provide equal opportunities to women and encourage their self-reliance and leadership. This event is an important step in this direction."

 

The Deputy Director of the Institute, Dr. Tarika Singh also expressed her views on this occasion and said, "Women empowerment is not just an idea, but a movement that promotes equality and freedom in society. Every woman should be aware of her rights and capabilities. This event is an important effort to inspire women and enhance their capabilities."

Program Coordinator: This successful event was conducted by Assistant Professor Deepshikha Chauhan, while co-coordinators were Associate Professor Tanya Mathur, Associate Professor Sweety Dubey and Associate Professor Vishesh Upmanyu. Faculty members and the entire staff actively participated in the event.

This successful event gave an important message of empowering women and motivating them towards self-reliance.
