Bhagoria festival has started from March 7 in the tribal areas of Jhabua and Alirajpur district. In Bhagoria, a symbol of tribal culture, a crowd of women, men, young men and girls will gather in every market and will be seen dancing to the tune of drums, mandal and flute in joy, kurraatis will also resonate.

Strict security arrangements in view of Bhagoria festival

The district administration and police department have also made strict security arrangements in view of Bhagoria festival, along with this, the officers and employees of Nagar Palika, Nagar Panchayat and Parishad and Gram Panchayats have been instructed to make proper arrangements for cleanliness and drinking water. An atmosphere of enthusiasm is visible among the tribals regarding the festival.

They come dressed up....

To celebrate the festival in Bhagoria Haat, tribal young men and women come dressed up in their traditional attire and are seen dancing to the tune of drums and mandal. Different groups of young men and women are seen roaming around during the festival and enjoying food.

Political people also participate in large numbers...

Political people also participate in large numbers in Bhagoria fair and political benefits are also taken from it. Congress and BJP parties show their dominance in that area by organizing drum and mandal fairs and rallies in Bhagoria Haat markets. The more drums and mandals a party has in its fair, the stronger its hold is considered in that area. These political parties also arrange for money and food for these drum parties and also honour Tadvi, Badwa, Sarpanch by tying a turban on their head. These days, even the ministers, MLAs and the Chief Minister of the state are seen participating in these Bhagoria Haat markets. Many foreign tourists, journalists and other dignitaries of the country and the state also reach to see Bhagoria.

Bhagoria fairs will start from today, 7th March...

Walpur, Kathiwada, Udaygarh, Bhagor, Bekalda, Mandli and Chainpura on Friday, 7th March.

Bhagoria Haat Nanpur, Umrali, Ranapur, Meghnagar, Bamnia, Jhaknawada and Baledi on Saturday, 8th March.

Bhagoria Haat Bazaar Chhakatla, Kulwat, Sorwa, Aamkhunt, Jhabua, Jhiran, Dholiawada, Raipuriya, Kakanwani, Kanwada on Sunday, 9th March. On Monday, March 10, Bhagoria Haat Bazaar Alirajpur, Bhabhra, Petlawad, Bada Guda, Rambhapur, Mohankot, Kundanpur, Rajla. On Tuesday, March 11, Bhagoria Haat Bazaar Bakhatgarh, Ambua, Andharwad, Pitol, Khardu Badi, Thandla, Tarkhedi and Barvet. On Wednesday, March 12, Bhagoria Haat Bazaar Barjhar, Khattali, Chandpur, Bori, Umarkot, Machhalia, Karvad, Bodayta, Kalyanpura, Madarani and Dhekal. On Thursday, March 13, last Bhagoria Haat Bazaar Fulmal, Sondwa, Jobat, Para, Harinagar, Sanrgi, Samoi and Chainupra.
