Orientation and workshop of city/village security committee organized for disaster management during Bhagoria

Bureau Chief Rahim Sherani Hindustani Jhabua

Jhabua District Administration Jhabua in coordination with Police Administration and Home Guard organized orientation and workshop of Executive Magistrate and City/Village Security Committees for disaster management during the upcoming Bhagoria. In the workshop, various topics were discussed by experts about the role of Executive Magistrate, Police and City and Village Security Committees in the event of various disasters like crowd control, stampede and arson.

The workshop was inaugurated by Collector Neha Meena and Superintendent of Police Shri Padma Vilochhan Shukla by garlanding the statue of Maa Saraswati and lighting the lamp.

In her address in the program, Collector Neha Meena said that organizing a disaster management workshop is important for the preparation of Bhagoria. He said that the objective of the workshop is that the city/village security committees can easily understand the method of disaster management, so all the experts should orient them in simple language and explain the process through mutual dialogue. The youth should also understand the process without any hesitation, ask questions and learn by themselves and teach others as well while taking responsibility of the society. He congratulated District Commander Shri Shashidhar Pillai for spreading awareness in this way and the SDERF team for always being ready.

Superintendent of Police Shri Padma Vilochhan Shukla said that Bhagoria is an important festival of the region in which the biggest challenge is to manage the crowd of thousands of people who reach there. Along with this, all the duty givers are requested to work peacefully, with restraint on language and with goodwill. Work with the help of village/city security committee even with limited resources. District Commander Shri Shashidhar Pillai said that the workshop was organized to spread awareness and adopt proper procedures of disaster management. The workshop was organized to explain how work is done during a disaster through demonstration and to take advantage of discussions by subject experts.

Release of Disaster Management Magazine

Collector Neha Meena and Superintendent of Police Shri Padma Vilochan Shukla released the Disaster Management Magazine prepared by the District Disaster Management Authority, in which stampede, use of fire extinguisher, CPR and alertness from lightning were explained in easy and pictorial form.

CPR Demonstration and Jacket Distribution

Dr. Arvind Datla explained in detail about the proper procedure of CPR to the attendees by giving demonstration and told that giving CPR to a person in the golden hour increases the chances of saving the patient's life manifold. After the demonstration, the police officers and members of the city/village security committees themselves learnt CPR by doing it practically. Jackets were provided in the programme to ensure the identification of the city and village security committee.

During this, Deputy Collector Mr. HS Vishwakarma, SDOP Mrs. Rooprekha Yadav, administration and police staff, members of the city and village security committee were present.
