Google Meet with Archaeological Department (ASI) regarding permission for beautification of Kilagate Square

Gwalior - Kilagate Square is going to be beautified on heritage theme. Efforts are being made to get permission from ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) for beautification work as soon as possible. In this regard, Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar and Collector Ruchika Chauhan discussed with ASI officials through Google Meet on Tuesday.

It was decided in Google Meet that the ASI team will inspect the site during the next 10 days and submit its report regarding the beautification of Kilagate area. On the basis of this report, a proposal for beautification of Kilagate Square will be sent to NMA (National Monument Authority) from the district level for permission. Being close to the historic Gwalior Fort, permission of ASI and NMA is necessary for the beautification of Kilagate. Continuous efforts are being made by the district administration to obtain this permission.

The Energy Minister told the ASI officials in Google Meet that the beautification work of Kilagate should be started as soon as possible, so permission for this work should be obtained quickly. He said that the beautification of Kilagate will be done on the theme of the archaeological and historical heritage of the city.

The Collector said in Google Meet that after the inspection of the ASI team, permission will be obtained by sending a proposal to the NMA as soon as possible. He said that the beautification of Kilagate will be done in such a way that the Kilagate intersection becomes attractive. Along with this, the road traffic here can also be smooth.
