Collector reviewed the blindness prevention program

Collector Neha Meena organized a review meeting on the status of the blindness prevention program in the district. In the meeting, it was informed that the annual target of the district was 4500, out of which 90% cataract operations have been done.

Remaining 1128 cataract operations are to be done. In 149 schools in the district, about 1792 glasses have been distributed after examining the eyes of more than 35000 students.

Collector Neha Meena directed to coordinate between the District Hospital and Jeevan Jyoti Hospital Meghnagar for the remaining 1128 cataract operations, do block-wise mapping for the operation, make a calendar and mobilize the patients. Along with this, directed to coordinate between CHO Bhaur Gram Panchayat Secretary for mapping and mobilization of patients of the block related to all BMO and to achieve the target.

In order to achieve the target in this financial year, the collector has said that a daily schedule should be made for the surgery to be done by the ophthalmologist and patients should be informed in advance so that the target can be achieved on time.

During this, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. BS Baghel, Dr. Nisar Pathan, BMO were present and doctors related to Jeevan Jyoti Hospital joined through Google Meet.
