Smart City schemes should be completed with quality as soon as possible: Municipal Corporation Commissioner

Gwalior. Under the Smart City Mission, whatever projects are in progress and the deposit work which is being done by the Municipal Corporation, the Smart City and Municipal Corporation officials should prepare a time table and complete them at a fast pace with coordination. At the same time, by creating information related to the operation and maintenance of the completed projects, complete those works as well on priority. Corporation Commissioner Aman Vaishnav gave instructions to this effect to the concerned officials during the review of Smart City projects. All the concerned officials of Smart City, Municipal Corporation and PDMC were present in the meeting.

On Monday, in the Smart City hall located at Moti Mahal, Corporation Commissioner and Smart City CEO in-charge Aman Vaishnav held a meeting with the concerned officials and reviewed in detail the work executed by Smart City and the works currently in progress, the current work status and financial status of all the works including deposit work. Corporation Commissioner Vaishnav told the officers and employees of Smart City that they should get all the ongoing projects completed with quality within the stipulated time frame and the same works which have been completed but their operation and maintenance work is being done by the concerned contractor. They should also be taken on priority and executed with quality. Shri Vaishnav directed that the work which is to be handed over to the Municipal Corporation after completion should also be checked for its completion and action should be taken to hand it over to the Municipal Corporation.

Shri Vaishnav also directed the Corporation officials regarding the deposit work of Smart City which is being executed by the Corporation that they should get these works completed within the stipulated time frame. At the end of the meeting, the Corporation Commissioner suggested that the Smart City should prepare the necessary action plan to become self-sufficient. He also directed the officers to prepare the necessary action plans based on their efficiency so that Gwalior Smart Cities can become self-sufficient in the future and prove useful for other departments.
