Gwalior Police strict before New Year, extensive checking campaign of suspects and drivers

In view of the arrival of New Year, Gwalior Police has become alert about security arrangements across the district. Effective checking campaign is being run in all the police station areas of the district. Along with checking the drivers, the police is also searching for suspicious persons.

Under a special campaign by the traffic police, strict action is being taken against those driving vehicles after drinking alcohol. Checking is being done through breath analyzer in various areas of the city. Along with challaning against those driving vehicles after drinking alcohol, other legal action is being taken.

During the checking campaign, policemen have been deployed at major intersections, hotels, dhabas, and public places. Officials say that this campaign is being run to prevent any untoward incident during the New Year celebrations and to maintain peace in the city.

Police appeal Gwalior police has appealed to the general public to follow traffic rules and not drive after drinking alcohol.
