Meeting for security arrangements keeping in view the event to be held on New Year's Eve

On the occasion of the events to be held on New Year, strong security arrangements should be made and effective checking should be done: SP Gwalior

Strict security arrangements should be made around the programs to be held collectively on New Year.

On New Year's Eve, criminal and anarchic elements should be identified and legal action should be taken against them.

In view of the security arrangements, CCTV cameras should be made functional at all the venues and routes of movement.

Special security arrangements should be made in temples and markets on New Year and proper patrolling should be arranged on the route of movement of women.

Gwalior 30.12.2024 - Superintendent of Police Gwalior Shri Dharamveer Singh (Bapuse) today on 30.12.2024 held a meeting of all the station in-charges of the district to maintain security and traffic system keeping in view the events to be held in Gwalior district on New Year's Eve and the crowd in temples and markets on New Year. In the meeting, the Superintendent of Police Gwalior also reviewed the pending crimes and challans station wise. On this occasion, Additional Superintendent of Police (East/Traffic/Crime) Shri Krishna Lalchandani, IPS, Additional Superintendent of Police (West) Shri Gajendra Vardhman, Additional Superintendent of Police (Central) Shri Akhilesh Rainwal, Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Shri Niranjan Sharma and all CSPs and SDOPs and police station in-charges and outpost in-charges of the district were present.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, the Superintendent of Police Gwalior reviewed the pending crimes and pending challans in the police stations station wise and directed the station in-charges to expedite the crimes and challans of previous years. The Superintendent of Police Gwalior expressed happiness over the good action taken in crime settlement in some police stations and expressed dissatisfaction as the action of some police stations was not satisfactory. All the CSPs and SDOPs were directed to review the pending crimes and challans of their subordinate police stations and make effective efforts for settlement. Along with this, the station in-charges were instructed to clean the police stations in the new year and maintain better records and make good meeting arrangements. Superintendent of Police Gwalior told the present station in-charges that in the new year they have to work in their respective police stations for ISO certification.

 

In the meeting, SP Gwalior directed the station in-charges to maintain comprehensive security arrangements in the district keeping in view the events to be held on the occasion of New Year. He said that while listing the events related to New Year to be held in the police station area, hot spots should be identified and adequate police force should be deployed and the station in-charge should do foot patrolling in the area with his force and gazetted officers should also visit the area. Keeping in view the New Year, wherever New Year mass programs are being organized in Gwalior district, special security arrangements should be ensured by making proper police arrangements around them and in major markets.

 

In the meeting, he said that on the eve of New Year, people consume alcohol and other intoxicants at various clubs, hotels, malls, bars and other venues and drive motorcycles and vehicles at high speed, which increases the possibility of accidents and chaos. Keeping this in view, effective checking should be done by setting up police pickets at all major markets, parks, malls etc. from the eve of New Year and during this, mischievous and anti-social elements should be identified and legal action should be taken against them. On the occasion of New Year, a large number of devotees visit religious places for darshan. Therefore, traffic management and security arrangements should be ensured around religious places and special vigilance should be exercised keeping in view the safety of women on this occasion.

 

Gwalior Superintendent of Police directed all station incharges to hold a meeting with the operators of such clubs, hotels, malls, bars and other event venues in their respective areas and give them necessary guidelines regarding maintaining the arrangements during the New Year's event and also give strict instructions that it is mandatory to follow the guidelines set by the administration in the use of musical instruments and sound equipment and DJ will be completely banned after 10 pm and special attention should be paid to not disrupt traffic and all programs should be completed within the stipulated time limit.
