Free the land of government temples from encroachment by running a special campaign

Gwalior 29 December 2024/ Verify the land related to all the government temples located in the district and if there is encroachment anywhere, get it removed in a phased manner. Also prepare proposals to increase the income of the temples and give an ideal look to the temples by getting development work done in a planned manner. Instructions to this effect were given by Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan to all the SDMs and Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars of the district in the meeting of revenue officers. He said that this work should be done as a campaign. In the meeting, other important subjects including revenue mega campaign, revenue recovery and curbing illegal colonies were reviewed.

In the meeting held in the auditorium of the Collectorate on Sunday, Collector Mrs. Chauhan laid special emphasis on securing government land in every tehsil of the district. Also, all revenue officers were instructed to strongly present the government's side in the cases related to government land pending in the courts, so that the decision comes in favor of the government. If the decision is contrary, then an appeal should be made in time. Laxity in this work will not be tolerated. He also instructed all revenue

officers to send immediate reports in cases related to land allocation for government purposes.

Additional Collector Mr. Kumar Satyam, Additional District Magistrate Mr. T N Singh and Joint Collector Mr. Sanjeev Jain along with all SDMs, Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars of the district and district level officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.

Put a check on illegal colonies

Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan also directed in the meeting that the tendency of developing illegal colonies in Gwalior city and rural areas should be strictly stopped. She said that the list of illegal colonies identified in the Gwalior Municipal Corporation area, which has been handed over to the Municipal Corporation, should be monitored by the zonal officer. She said that the Municipal Corporation Commissioner will take action against the illegal colonies of the Municipal Corporation area under the Municipal Corporation Act. Collector Mrs. Chauhan informed that notices have been issued for action against 70 illegal colonies identified in rural areas.

Notice to two Tehsildars for keeping cases pending unnecessarily

During the review of Revenue Maha Abhiyan, Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan expressed displeasure over finding cases of transfer and partition pending unnecessarily in Lashkar and Mahalgaon Tehsil Circle. For this, she directed to issue show cause notices to Lashkar Tehsildar Mr. Ramashankar Singh and Naib Tehsildar of Mahalgaon Circle Mr. Mahendra Yadav. She also said that a special campaign should be run till January 2 for resolving the cases of demarcation and partition identified in Revenue Maha Abhiyan. She said that if the cases remain pending after this date, action will be taken against the concerned Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar. She also laid special emphasis on completing the work of map amendment in a phased manner as per the target under Revenue Maha Abhiyan. In the meeting, he also gave instructions to increase the progress of name transfer, partition, demarcation, record correction, former registry, Aadhaar seeding, e-KYC and ownership scheme.

Emphasis on accelerating revenue collection

All revenue officers were instructed to collect outstanding amount of minerals, RERA and other departments. Collector Mrs. Chauhan said that in cases where RRC is registered and the amount is not being deposited by the defaulters, their property should be confiscated. She warned all revenue officers that disciplinary action will be taken if laxity is found in revenue collection of the departments.
