Bail granted to the accused who vandalized the showroom of former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan's son

The accused of vandalizing the showroom of former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan 'Tai's' son Milind Mahajan and assaulting her grandson Siddharth got bail. The accused's lawyer Aamir Khokar said that all of them appeared in the regular court on Saturday. They got bail from there. 5 accused including the nephew of cabinet minister Pratap Karosia got bail on a bond of 10 thousand rupees.

Advocate Aamir Khokar said that the accused Saurabh Karosia, Mohit, Sahil, Tarun, Abhay were arrested in crime number 836/24 in Azad Nagar police station under sections 115(2), 296, 351(2), 3(5), 324(4) B.N.C. All of them were accused of vandalizing the showroom of former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan's son. After their arrest, the police added more sections which were 308(5) 190, 191(2) B.N.C. Due to which 308(5) was applied, the police remand was given.

Today all five and another accused were presented before the Judicial Magistrate First Class. There, Advocate Aamir Khokar and fellow advocates convinced the court with their arguments that the police were adding more sections in this case due to political reasons. Whereas this was a case of general sections. After hearing the arguments, the court gave its verdict and ordered the release of the five accused on a bail bond of one thousand rupees.
