Two-day workshop on implementation of application of pharmacology in medical treatments in hybrid mode concluded at Government Medical College Datia

The Department of Pharmacology at Government Medical College Datia successfully organized a two-day hybrid workshop on 04 and 05 December 2024 under the subject of application of pharmacology in clinical practice. The workshop, which had offline and online sessions, was enthusiastically attended by doctors, PG residents and medical students.

The program was inaugurated in the dignified presence of the Dean CEO and Patron of the institution, Dr. Prof. Deepak Singh Marawi. Dr. Deepak Singh Marawi praised the workshop for reducing the gap between theoretical knowledge and its real-world application, setting a standard for future teachers. With the continuous efforts of Professor, Head of Department and Chairman of Organizing Committee, Dr. Surendra Kumar Bauddh, the two-day workshop was successfully concluded, in which the achievements made by the expert research in the field of pharmacology were told in the workshop by Dr. BP Kale, Associate Professor and Organizing Committee Secretary.

RD Gardi as the keynote speaker. Senior Professor Dr. Surya Prakash Dhaneria from Medical College Ujjain shared his expertise on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamic properties of drugs and emphasized their practical relevance. Dr. Sanjay Gedam from Jabalpur Medical College delivered a highly informative lecture on pharmacogenomics and its revolutionary applications in personalized medicine. Dr. Mukesh Hindaulia from Gandhi Medical College Bhopal spoke about the clinical importance of therapeutic drug monitoring.

 Dr. Anjali Jalaj from GRMC Gwalior shared valuable information about surgical prophylaxis and discussed its benefits and potential challenges. Dr. Hemlata Verma from Gandhi Medical College Bhopal mesmerized the audience with an interactive session on recent advances in antimicrobial pharmacotherapy.

Head of the Department of Pharmacology Dr. Surendra Kumar Baudh shared an informative and important information on High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and its applications. Apart from this, Associate Professor Dr. Abhishek Mehta, Professor Dr. Manoj Tyagi, Professor Dr. Shweta Yadav, Associate Professor Dr. Manish from Government Medical College Datia also spoke. Ajmaria and Associate Professor Dr. Amrita Chauhan gave useful lectures on judicious and logical dosage and use of medicines in the practice clinical team. The program was successfully conducted by Dr. Deepika Singh.

PG Residents Dr. Aditya Kulthe, Dr. Vaibhav Bilgaiyan, Dr. Krishna Dutt Upadhyay, Dr. Gaurav Vats and Dr. Somya Gupta and clerk Mr. Rahul Gupta played an important role in making the workshop successful.
