14th Mahakauthig begins with a colourful start at Noida Stadium

Mahakauthig Noida: The 14th edition of the biggest Uttarakhandi fair "Uttarakhand Mahakauthig" to be held in Delhi-NCR has started with a colourful start at Noida Stadium today. The 5-day Mahakauthig, which will run from 21 to 25 December 2024, was inaugurated by Chief Guest Laxmi Singh, Police Commissioner, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Special Guest Shaivya Goyal, ACP Noida, Lakhan Singh Yadav, DCP Traffic Noida, Chief Coordinator of Mahakauthig Rajendra Chauhan and President Aditya Ghildiyal by lighting the lamp.

On this occasion, the Chief Guest praised the Uttarakhand society wholeheartedly for organizing the Mahakauthig. He said that the way you people are trying to take your folk culture to your future generations is commendable. While talking about the migration from Uttarakhand, he said that you people should definitely visit your villages from time to time. He told the elderly people living in the mountains from the stage that your children will definitely come to you. He congratulated and wished all the members of the organizing committee for this grand event and said that to make this MahakothiG successful, he will have full cooperation from the police team in view of security.

It is worth noting that this time in the 14th MahakothiG organized by the Parvatiya Cultural Institute in Noida, a beautiful stage has been built on the theme of Badrinath Dham Temple, one of the four Dhams of Uttarakhand.

Earlier, at the start of MahakothiG this morning, all the guests were given a grand welcome with the traditional musical instruments and folk music of Uttarakhand at the Noida Stadium. Along with the inauguration of the MahakothiG fair, a beautiful dance performance was presented by the folk artists of the hills on the folk songs of Uttarakhand.

From around 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, Uttarakhand's superhit folk singer Saurabh Maithani, folk singer Diksha Dhoundiyal and folk singer Jitendra Tomkyal and other folk artists will spread the charm of hill folk songs in a colorful cultural evening. Meanwhile, at 4 pm, famous actor Rakesh Gaur and team will give a folk cultural presentation.

This time, around 150 stalls of Uttarakhand's hill products have been set up in Mahakauthi, in which Uttarakhand's dishes, pulses, grains, hill sweets, clothes, etc. are available. For the people fond of hill cuisine, Gharya dal made in Bhaddu, Bhaat, Chainsu, Phandu, Meetha Bhaat, Jhangora Kheer, Aloo-Mula Thinchoni, Kandeli Saag, Bhang Chutney, Potato Gutke, Palyo, Kode, Mungri Roti, etc. hill dishes will be available at reasonable prices.
