A MISSING MINOR MALE CHILD AGE 05 YEARS, RE-UNITED WITH HIS PARENTS BY THE STAFF OF PP AHATA KIDARA, PS SADAR BAZAR, UNDER OPERATION MILAP

On 12.07.2025, a police team comprising HC Prashant and HC Vinay was deployed on picket duty at LR Center, Pahari Dheeraj, under the leadership of SI Akashdeep (In-charge PP Ahata-Kidara) and close supervision of Inspr. Rakesh Kumar (Inspr. Law & Order), PS Sadar Bazar, Delhi.

During picket duty at about 8:00 PM, the above said police team noticed a minor child, age about 05 years wandering alone and found unattended there. Realizing the potential risk to the safety of the child, they immediately took the child under their protection, who was very nervous and in a distressed condition and unable to provide any information.

The team counseled the minor boy and provided some eatables like sweet-corn and ice-cream etc. in order to soothe him. Thereafter, sincere efforts were made to trace the family members of the unattended child and initiated local enquiries in the vicinity. During search, the photograph of the child was circulated among the WhatsApp groups of police personnel and RWAs/MWAs to get any clue. Announcements were made from the Mosques, Temples and police booths of the local area to trace the parents along-with message circulated in the adjoining Police Stations.

After sustained efforts and diligent groundwork, the residence and family members of the child were successfully traced within a short span of an hour. After proper verification, the child was then safely re-united with his grandmother namely Rahisha, r/o Bara Hindu Rao under "Operation Milap". The grandmother told the police team that the child was playing outside the home with other children, but somehow got slipped from there.

The prompt and sensitive response of the dedicated police team of PS Sadar Bazar prevented any untoward incident and reflects the commitment of Delhi Police towards public safety, especially the protection of vulnerable children. The boy’s family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the team of PS Sadar Bazar.
