Golden opportunity for patients of Datia district to get treatment from AIIMS doctors

Preparations are underway for the three-day huge free health camp to be organized in Gwalior from 25 December, the birthday of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. In this camp to be organized in collaboration with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal, patients of Datia district suffering from serious diseases also have a golden opportunity to get treatment from AIIMS doctors.

 

In this camp, patients from about one and a half dozen districts including all the eight districts of Gwalior-Chambal division and the neighbouring districts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan will be treated by AIIMS doctors. In this camp, which is going to be organized on the initiative of Gwalior MP Bharat Singh Kushwaha, a 158-member team of AIIMS including doctors and paramedical staff will conduct health check-ups, operations and treatment of needy patients. In the camp, treatment and surgery of pediatrics and various types of diseases including cancer, heart, kidney, liver and nerve diseases will be done.

There will also be an opportunity to take opinion from the specialist doctors of AIIMS in this camp. With the cooperation of AIIMS, this multi-purpose free camp will be held from 25 to 27 December in LNIPE (Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education) campus in Gwalior from 10 am to 4 pm every day. So far, 24 thousand 22 patients have been registered for this huge health camp in Gwalior district alone. Apart from this, 45 such children have been identified, who will be operated upon by AIIMS doctors in the camp to correct cleft lips and other deformities.

 

MP Bharat Singh Kushwaha, in a meeting held on Monday regarding the preparations of the camp in the presence of Divisional Commissioner Manoj Khatri and Collector Ruchika Chauhan, directed that full attention should be paid to the facilities of the patients at the camp site. Make sufficient counters to help the patients and also deploy service-minded volunteers so that patients do not have to wander for treatment. He also directed to provide treatment facilities in the camp to those patients who have not been identified or registered in advance. MP Kushwaha laid special emphasis in the meeting on wide publicity of the dates of the camp. Along with hoardings, banners and communication media, he asked to promote the camp by going door to door with the help of Asha, ANM and Anganwadi workers. IDs of the patients will be made, so that they will not have to wander for treatment in AIIMS, in this huge camp to be organized with the help of AIIMS, not only will the patients be treated on the spot, but their medical IDs will also be prepared by AIIMS. Patients whose operation and treatment is not possible in the camp, can get their treatment done in AIIMS Bhopal through this ID.

 

By having ID, patients will not have to wander here and there for treatment in AIIMS and will also get relief from long queues. Bring the needy patients of every village and every panchayat to the camp, Divisional Commissioner Manoj Khatri has given instructions that such needy patients residing in the rural areas of Gwalior-Chambal division, who are unable to reach institutions like AIIMS for good treatment, must be benefited from this camp. He directed that all SDMs and CEOs of Janpad Panchayats should hold a meeting with the Gram Panchayat Secretaries and GRS of their area and issue clear guidelines in this regard, call the team of ELIMCO for the help of the disabled, there should also be a counter for Ayurvedic treatment, Divisional Commissioner Manoj Khatri also gave instructions to call the team of ELIMCO for the help of the disabled coming to the camp. He said that through this team, measurements should be taken to provide assistance equipment to the needy disabled. The Divisional Commissioner also asked to set up a counter of expert Ayurvedic medical officers for treatment through Ayurvedic medical system at the camp site.

Alternatively, arrange accommodation in night shelters and Dharamshalas, the Divisional Commissioner instructed the Municipal Corporation officials to make alternative arrangements for accommodation in the Dharamshalas and night shelters of the city for the patients coming to the camp. He also said that along with security arrangements, heaters should also be installed in night shelters to protect from cold. Teams from 22 departments of AIIMS will come to the camp. AIIMS Bhopal's Dean Dr. Rajneesh Joshi informed in the meeting that teams of doctors from 22 departments of AIIMS will come to the camp for treatment.
