Today, like previous years, a program of distributing 173 blankets was organized at your Indraprastha Charitable Dispensary, Nyay Khand 3, Indrapuram.

Which will continue till 25th December. This campaign, which is going on continuously since 2014, has been specially supported by Parivartan Sandesh Foundation and Hamdard National Foundation to give it a concrete shape. Dispensary operator Pradeep Uniyal said that blanket distribution is associated with childhood memories. When our quilt used to get removed during winters in our childhood while sleeping at night, at that time despite feeling cold, we could not cover ourselves with the quilt again, so our parents used to cover us with that quilt again. That time is a symbol of a very pleasant experience which perhaps cannot be described in words. To make this campaign dignified, Dr. Ramakant Dixit, social worker and senior journalist Brijesh Srivastava, Sardar Singh Rawat, Ashok, Bishan, Kundan Rana, Suresh Mishra and many others were present.

Every time during blanket distribution, some unforgettable moment remains. This time the incident happened two days before the distribution when two municipal sweepers were sweeping outside the dispensary. I asked them to come on Sunday to collect blankets. But on hearing their reply my heart was left stunned, their self-respect and the thought of helping the deserving made my heart sing. They said Sir, it will be good if it gets to the needy. I spent some time with them and had tea. I understood their feelings as well, perhaps they were educated as well and a desire to move ahead was also visible in them. Heartfelt salutes to such people of the society.
