The initiative to make the rich people of the society aware about the need to help those suffering from cancer is commendable: Rajpal Singh Municipal Councilor

Vijay Gaur Bureau Chief - Delhi

Federation of Senior Citizens East of Kailash along with its associates Dr. Mrs. Santosh Laughter Yoga and Indian Cancer Society organized a free cancer screening and consultation camp. More than 70 free tests and consultations were conducted in the camp. Along with this, efforts were also made to arrange proper treatment, medicines etc. for the poor.

Along with the tests and treatment, experienced specialist doctors came to give special consultation in the camp. The aim was to increase awareness about serious diseases like cancer and to ensure that patients get better treatment.

On this occasion, Municipal Councilor Rajpal Singh said in his address that how a dangerous disease like cancer can be controlled is a serious matter because it affects the lower strata of our society the most, which includes maids working at home, fourth class employees, laborers, etc. who smoke bidis.

This initiative to make people who consume cigarettes and gutka aware through camps is commendable and even more important is that those people who are suffering from cancer and do not have money for treatment. The initiative taken by the Federation to make the rich people of the society aware to help them is an exemplary example. I am sure that this successful effort will prove to be a milestone. They praised the efforts of the Federation of Senior Citizens wholeheartedly.

Everyone else also praised it. Federation spokesperson Pawan Sharma told news chief Vijay Gaur that efforts will be made to organize more such camps/awareness campaigns soon.
