'Auspicious' beginning in space, Assam's Boroland established India on the world stage with Eri Silk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the people through his radio show 'Mann Ki Baat'. Due to this, Mann Ki Baat program was organized at all the booths in Noida metropolis.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while communicating with the countrymen in the 123rd edition today, once again gave prominence to the power of democracy, cultural diversity of India and extraordinary stories of common people. Prime Minister Modi described the Emergency imposed in 1975 as one of the darkest chapters in the history of India's democracy. He said that freedom of expression was crushed at that time. The Prime Minister mentioned Assam's Boroland, which was once a centre of separatism and conflict. He said that today the same region is organising a football tournament involving thousands of teams, which has become a symbol of peace and sportsmanship. PM Modi also praised Meghalaya's famous Eri Silk. He said that this silk gives coolness in summers and warmth in winters. Its specialty is that silkworms are not killed to make it, which makes it friendly to both the environment and animal welfare. Recently it has also received the GI tag. The Prime Minister mentioned the 'Sindoor Forest' developed by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation of Gujarat, which is dedicated to the heroes of Operation Sindoor. Sindoor plants have been planted in this forest and it is a unique example of patriotism and love for the environment. Talking about space missions and the youth who contributed to them, he praised innovative youth like Shubhanshu Shukla. MP Mahesh Sharma said on this occasion that every word of Prime Minister Modi is inspiring. His dialogue is not just a program, but the heartbeat of crores of Indians, which gives voice to the aspirations and resolutions of the new India. After listening to today's Mann Ki Baat of the Prime Minister, the belief became even stronger that our country is moving towards new heights under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

District President Mahesh Chauhan said that today Prime Minister Modi again reiterated the point of Vocal for Local and said that we should use only the goods manufactured in our country, only then the country will develop and move forward. He also talked about avoiding foreign goods. In this sequence, the Prime Minister also discussed environmental balance and talked about planting a tree in the name of mother. If we plant even one tree, we make our life happy.
