Investigate power theft cases by forming a team

Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar praised the officers who took action on power theft cases in Jabalpur and said that similar action should be taken in other districts as well. He said that if strict action is taken against big defaulters and big institutions and big houses found stealing, then its message will be good. Form a team and take action to catch power theft. He said that if this is not done, it will be considered that the officers are also involved in it. Shri Tomar said that I will personally honor the Jabalpur team. Shri Tomar said these things during the review of the works of East Zone Electricity Distribution Company.

Shri Tomar said that billing should be done on the basis of meter reading. Resolve the complaints of consumers immediately. He directed that senior officers should continuously review the redressal of complaints.

Will get the stock checked

Shri Tomar said that he will get the stock checked by sending a team from outside. He said that all the required materials should be available in the store. Energy Minister said that where meters are seized, a Panchnama should be made and then packing should be done. Reduce distribution losses. Encourage those who do good work. Do not transfer and punish those who do bad work. Increase billing capacity. Install lightning resistors in all transformers.
Complete the works of RDSS on time Energy Minister did a detailed review of the works of RDSS. He said that all the works approved in the scheme should be completed within the time limit. Take action against those who do not complete the work on time and inform me about the action taken. He also reviewed other works including installation of smart meters. MD East Zone Electricity Distribution Company Mr. Anay Dwivedi said that along with vigilance, O&M staff has also been given responsibility to catch electricity theft. If theft is caught in big institutions, the responsibility of the staff will also be fixed. During this, OSD of Energy Department Mr. Vijay Gaur and other officers were present.
