In the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, all political parties should keep in mind the sentiments of the Sindhi community. In the Assembly where the number of Sindhis is high, a Sindhi should be made their candidate in that Assembly, said this to the journalists in a press conference by the President of the Progressive Sindhi Samaj Samiti, Mr. Vijay Israni. He further said that more than 100 big organizations of the Sindhi community have taken a decision together that this time in the Delhi Assembly elections, if any big political party makes any Sindhi its candidate, then all Sindhis, leaving aside their political differences, will vote one-sidedly for that Sindhi candidate to support him with their body, mind and money, including votes. Therefore, this time there are more than 10 such assembly constituencies in Delhi where the candidate of political parties will win or lose because of the Sindhi community.

Vice President of Pragatisheel Sindhi Samaj Samiti, Mr. Vinod Sachdeva said that there are 10 such assembly constituencies in Delhi where if the Sindhi community unites leaving their political differences, then the Sindhi community will play a role in victory or defeat in that assembly. That is why all the major organizations of Sindhi community have decided to leave their political differences and make the Sindhi community candidate win.

In response to a question, Cultural Secretary of Pragatisheel Sindhi Samaj Samiti, Mr. Omprakash Kukreja said that at the time of partition, the Sindhi community left everything in Sindh (present Pakistan) and came to India completely empty handed and spent 75 years in managing themselves with hard work and honesty. But now we need our participation in politics too so that till now no government has paid attention to the needs of the Sindhi community, we will now fulfill those needs.

Joint Secretary of Pragatisheel Sindhi Samaj Samiti, Mr. Narendra Masand said that the people living in Punjab, Bengal and Sindh suffered the most due to being displaced at the time of partition. Punjabis got their lifestyle and culture in India, Bengalis in Punjab and Sindh in West Bengal, what did the Sindhis get? Sindhis are also sad about losing Sindh. However, despite not getting Sindh, they kept the Sindhi language, culture and way of life alive on their own. Therefore, now whichever political party takes care of the sentiments of the Sindhi community, all Sindhi communities will stand unitedly with it.

On this occasion, the President of the Western Region of the Progressive Sindhi Samaj Samiti, Mr. Gautam Thavni and Joint Treasurer Mr. Gopal Devnani were present.
