New Delhi, 8 July : Delhi BJP today staged the first performance of the play “Rashtravaad ke Aadipurush”, based on the life of Jana Sangh founder and former Union Minister Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi. BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda and Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta attended the event along with party workers.

State President Shri Virendra Sachdeva welcomed National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda with a bouquet and memento. Shri Nadda praised Delhi BJP for creatively presenting Dr. Mookerjee’s nationalist ideology through a theatrical production in an accessible form.

Other dignitaries present included Union Minister of State Shri Harsh Malhotra, Assembly Speaker Shri Vijender Gupta, Delhi Minister Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Shri Ashish Sood, MP Shri Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, senior leaders Shri Vinay Sahasrabuddhe and Shri Shyam Jaju, as well as many MLAs, councillors, and state office-bearers.

Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva envisioned this theatrical presentation on Dr. Mookerjee’s life and today brought forth a new, inspiring, and creative production before the workers.

In his welcome address before the performance, Shri Sachdeva stated that the aim of the play was to present Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s life, vision of nationalism, education, political career, and dedication to Kashmir in a straightforward and understandable language for the people.

He also noted that a team of 75 people—including 58 artists from the National School of Drama and Shriram Kala Kendra, a chief director, and 16 technical staff—played a vital role in bringing the play to life. Dr. Sumit Bhasin, in charge of BJP’s various fronts, played a key role in organizing arrangements with workers from the Yuva Morcha, Purvanchal Morcha, and Media Department.

From the stage, Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta said that the portrayal of the play “Rashtravaad ka Aadipurush” today marks a unique beginning, and Dr. Mookerjee’s nationalist thoughts will be taken to every citizen of Delhi.

She further said that whether it is Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s nationalist ideology or his supreme sacrifice to integrate Kashmir into India, his life will continue to inspire the people of India for generations to come.
